16 students of Chung Chi College participated in the Service Learning Programme (Mainland) in Qingyuan, Guangdong Province in China from June 24 to July 14, contributing their knowledge and energy to serve the local community.
The students visited the rural villages in Qingyuan to conduct a series of public health education activities and services, such as carnivals to promote health education to the local community. They visited backward villages in groups which helped to further spread the health messages to the villagers. They also organized various summer vacation activities like English tutorial classes and paper folding classes for the local primary school students.
After three weeks of service, the students established a strong bond with the local community. The trip was an excellent opportunity for the students to join together and take their love to the needy in Qingyuan.
