The I‧CARE Programme adopts an integrated approach and supports a range of major categories of social and civic engagement programmes, including service projects and self-initiated action-research projects; internships in non-governmental organizations (NGOs); social enterprises and corporate social responsibility measures; university lectures on civility, seminars and forums; and enhancement of students' mental wellness. The University launched the I·CARE Programme with an endowment fund of HK$100 million. The fund will be used to nurture students' personal growth, as well as cultivate them into upstanding global citizens.
The HKSAR Government launched the sixth round of the Matching Grant Scheme on 1 August 2012. All donations bank-in on or before 31 July 2014 will be eligible to apply for the matching grants on a first-come-first-served basis. Together with the matching fund scheme provided by the Chow Tai Fook Charity Foundation, your donation will be multiplied. Cheques should reach the Office of Institutional Advancement (for all donors, except from the U.S.), or The Chinese University of Hong Kong Foundation, Inc. in the U.S. (for U.S. donors) as soon as possible in order to secure the maximum chance of receiving the matching fund from the Government.
